Le Braye Cafe, St Ouens beach. Local food, fresh food, simple food which is quickly finding a loyal and hungry following.
Same Place - Different Place. New owners Annie and Jolyon Baker have taken the well loved Le Braye and given this iconic cafe a complete make-over... The outside is now beautifully renovated in New England style, dove grey cladding, a traditional awning, a long board and a new flagpole, all adding strong splashes of Jersey red and white, creating a welcome sight as you drive along the Five Mile Road.
The interior is gorgeous. An amazing polished concrete floor with cockle, limpet and scallop shells strewn within, leading to walls of sea, sand and pebbles, and ancient sandblasted pine cladding, with original zinc ships lanterns to light this new beachside eatery. Lloyd loom chairs, benches, and wooden chairs offer a choice of seating, whether its large parties or cream teas with granny, everyone can find a comfy space to enjoy the fantastic menu.
Dressings, tapenades and rubs are all made by the kitchen team and you can taste the difference. Moules Frites, pichets of lovely house wine from Gascony, boules on the new boules court with a sunset back-drop... just bring you berret.
Le Braye - Where we all grew up and loved, is back for more.
